Our 4th league game welcomed Oaksey YFC to the Red Bull Pitches.
A very cold winters wind took its toll on all the players, which helped towards making it a very difficult game for them.
We found it hard to move the ball to our usual high standards, but when the passing moves appeared, it created two goals for us from the midfield/strikers.
Nervous defending lead to a few near misses in font of the MYFC goal. But a couple of excellent saves from the MYFC goalkeeper kept our lead.
A few positives to take from the game and progress with. But we will make a real effort to continue to create team players, not heroes.
We will take the scoreline and continue to improve for the next game

The second game welcomed Chippenham YFC to the Red Bull Pitches.
The cold wind had died down and the sun started to really shine.
A wonderful game to watch for all spectators, with all players showing how keen they are to play and improve.
A couple of stand in MYFC goalkeepers did the team proud, giving several great saves despite it being their first time between the sticks.
Strong calm defending, pressurising the opponents continuously, proved to support their goalkeepers at all times. The defenders performance showed how they can make a calm tackle then release a pass up to the midfield/strikers. They also showed the skill of letting the ball go out of play in their favour.
A great joint performance from the midfield/strikers, working as a team, working the ball and creating four goals from great passing moves, one of which could go down as a contender for goal of the season.
All midfield/strikers proved how much they wanting the ball by the amount of calling they did throughout the game.
