Our re-scheduled cup game against Northleach Woolies had finally arrived and the weather was good to us this time!

Still very proud of our result against them in the league following last years scoreline, we were feeling confident and ready to show people we were now a team who could challenge their opposition.

An end to end competitive game saw some amazing stretching saves from the MYFC goalkeeper, keeping us in the game a number of times.
The MYFC defence were a pleasure to watch due to their calm, professional and skillful approach to the game. Cool, well timed tackles, stopped Northleach in their tracks for most of the game.
Our MYFC midfield/strikers were full of energy, continuously running to attack and support. A great midfield/striker performance saw a number of great chances created.

The whole MYFC performance was based on great passing and movement leading to 3 well worked goals, including another contender for goal of the season. This was a performance of high standard, showing each player can make good football decisions on their own.

The second game was a mirror image of the first. This due to the MYFC players commitment to work hard and learn.
Along with great saves from the MYFC goalkeeper, came a goal. Helped by the bounce, but he say’s he was aiming!
The MYFC defense showed some great potential, Keeping Northleach away from our goal. With most tackles being well timed with great technique. A great base to work on for the future.
Another MYFC midfield/attack full of energy and trying to work the ball as much as possible, creating a good number of chances.
Another MYFC performance based on passing and movement, leading to a number of goals of high standard. Working as a team and praising each other when needed.

All MYFC players will hopefully continue to want to improve and move forward at every game.

Well done to all.
