Today’s game took us away to Melksham United Tornados for our next league game.

A few wrongs to put right from our previous game to increase our confidence to a normal level.

Unfortunately it was a very lazy start by MYFC almost looking too scared to approach the opposition players and make a tackle. This resulted in Melksham having so much time on the ball leading to their confidence reaching sky high levels.

MYFC were lacking movement, effort and covering and support play was just a distant memory for us.

This was a winnable game for us and the players understood this at half time. The second half saw a much improved MYFC team and it became an exiting end to end game with the scoreline changing in favour of each team constantly.

At 5-5 it was clear it was now down to whom was more determined and more committed to finishing on top. Once again this was not MYFC, at present we just don’t seem to have the heart to give everything and remember the coaching points until the very end.

Despite a much better MYFC second half we fell two goals behind at the final whistle once again highlighting that constant determination and effort continues to be our downfall.

One MYFC performance is more than worthy of a mention as if it were not for his personal performance we would of fell behind by even more! The MYFC goalkeeper had an excellent game – by far the best goalkeeping performance i have seen to date this season. Maybe a pro goalkeeper in the making? pro or not he was definitely our man of the match.
